First you will need access to a command prompt. “To get a prompt, launch start then click run, lastly type cmd then press OK.” Once you get a prompt, I am going to talk about ipconfig. If you type that command alone, you will get your address of your machine. That is on the Internet. If you use “ipconfig /flushdns” it will clear your cache. Then type “ipconfig /registerdns” which will re-register dns like if you rebooted your machine. You are probably asking your self how does this help me? This will help if you; if you own your own domain name and updating dns to the proper server and wanting to see if the changes is complete. I find it personaly to sometimes increase the speed of browsing the net. Its possible more browsing you do the more memory it uses to store the dns cache.
