Create Screenshots With Your MAC

Since i now use the mac for almost everything. I learned if you press a key command on your keyboard you can create screen shots easily.
Heres how to do it!
1. Press “Command + Shift + 4″ (At the same time)
2. Notice that your mouse changed to a target symbol.
3. Now hold down the mouse button and drag. Once you let go it will take a snapshot.
– You will hear a camera sound then the image should appear on your desktop.

Convert iPhone/iPodTouch To A Wireless Mouse

I recently found a program that turns, any iPhone or iPod touch in to a wireless air mouse for your computer. The site has 2 programs that you will need to install. One for OSX and the other for Vista. Depending what OS you must have Mac OS X 10.4 or above OR Windows XP/Vista 32/64bit with Bonjour Installed.

Fix Fonts in OSX

In case you are running OSX, I found a way to remove the font files then have OSX reinstall them.

This is tested in Tiger 10.4.11.

1. Open up your home directory Macintosh HD - Users - ‘$username’
2. Go to the library folder.
3. Find a folder named fonts, Delete it or move the directory to your trash. (do not empty trash)
4. Logout then log back in.

Once you log in the folder will be restored back to its original settings.

The Online Virus Scanner

In recent articles i’ve talked about running 2 or more anti-virus scanners is very bad for any system.
I often explain how it does more harm then good.

Think about it, if you have 2 anti viruses Norton and McAffee running. Each time you get,modify, or delete the file every anti-virus has to scan them. Sometimes they conflict which may cause computer slowness. This is on top of any existing programs running.
